Recently, my friend Cella and I took a roadtrip to Cheltenham to see our friend Meg. It was a long drive but it was worth it. We spent the two days seeing what Cheltenham had to offer and mostly ate throughout the time we spent there.
The first place we headed to was a tea room that I had loved from my last trip. Its called the ‘Enchanted Tea Rooms’ and I’ve done a whole post on it (which you can check out here). This time round we had the full afternoon tea, which was lovely. The food was great, the scones were heavenly. If you are ever in the area, make sure to check it out. Also don’t forget to visit the loo.
Later on, we spent an evening at the movies. We watched Fist Fight and although it was a little slow to start with, it was laugh out loud hilarious.
The following day we went for brunch at Boston Tea Party in the town centre. Honestly it was the best brunch I have ever had and I’m so sad thats its so far away (2 hour drive).
I had egg royale for the first time and it was so beautiful, it was creamy, fresh and I would have never thought that I would be okay with eating salmon for brunch. I think I’m going to attempt to make egg royale at home and see how it goes. Cella went for a veggie breakfast and Meg opted for the egg benedict, and they were both thoroughly impressed too. We all loved it, the food was really on another level. From the presentation to the taste, it was brilliant and I would give this place smashing 5/5.
After brunch, we headed to a cute village/town in Cotswold called Bourton on the water. This place was so dreamy and picture perfect. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day even though it was a little bit chilly. Bourton on the water is definitely worth a visit, its so beautiful and the main street is filled with quirky shops.
That is it for this weeks post. Hope you enjoyed it. If you know of any cool places in England I can visit, do let me know! See you soon.
