Today I have a recipe for you. I absolutely love flapjack and its definitely being one my all time favourite sweet things. I’ve been meaning to make it for a while and I finally found the time to do so. I discovered how easy it is and only uses five ingredients. So if you’re looking to bake something delicious as a beginner or just want a super easy treat – this is for you.
You will need:
175 g Butter
175 g of Golden Syrup
175 g of Muscovado Sugar
350 g Porridge Oats
To begin with, line your 20 cm square baking tin with grease proof paper and preheat your oven to 150 °C.
Then in a pan, melt you butter. Make sure to do this on low heat because you don’t want the mixture to burn.
Once the butter has melted, add in the golden syrup and the muscovado sugar. Stir until the mixture is mixed well and the sugar has dissolved.
In a mixing bowl, measure your oats. Then add the heated mixture to the oats and mix well. You want to do this quickly after taking the mixture of the heat, as it will be easier to mix whilst the mixture is still hot.
Then, just add in your chocolate chips depending on how chocolaty you want it to be.
Add you oaty mixture to the tin, and press down and smooth it out evenly. Then its ready for the oven, place in the oven for 40 minutes.
Once the flapjack is ready and it has made your kitchen smell heavenly, leave it to cool for approx 15 to 20 minutes.
That is it for today, I hope you enjoyed the recipe. Do give it a try, its simple, easy and delicious.
