Today I will be doing a book haul for you. Recently, I’ve been reading a lot online, and neglecting the beauty of reading a physical copy of a book. So… I went shopping.
I went over to Amazon and had another one of those ‘treat yo self’ moments. I ordered quite a few books to keep me going for the next couple of weeks. I had actually pre-ordered the Ladymidnight book and picked it up from Waterstones (I LOVE book shops!).
Here it is, the book haul..
Look how beautiful they all are!
Lady Midnight – Cassandra Clare
As well as quite a few others, this book was on my ‘most anticipated books of 2016’.
I love Cassandra Clare to the point I can no longer explain in words. I have read every single book she has ever written. The Shadowhunter world is my favourite and she is easily one of my favourite authors. I was so excited for Lady Midnight that I pre-ordered it.
Lady Midnight is the first installment of the next series set in the shadowhunter world and the focus of this book is on Emma Cairstairs and Julian Blackthorn.
Rebel of the Sands – Alwyn Hamilton
You know how they say ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ .. well I did and I bought it. I am quite excited to read this one. I enjoy a desert back drop to novels I read and I think it’s mostly because they are set in the middle-east. Excited.
Fangirl – Rainbow Rowell
I have heard a lot about Rainbow Rowell, so I really wanted to get my hands on some of her books so I thought I would try Fangirl.
Eleanor and Park – Rainbow Rowell
Rowell is getting all the love with two of her books featuring in this books haul. I have heard a lot about this book so I really hope it lives up to the hype and expectations.
If I stay – Gayle Forman
I have already seen the movie and it broke my heart. I sat in the cinema and cried my eyes out, so I really hope the book is just as good (or even better? that would be nice).
Night Owls – Jenn Bennet
This is a YA novel, like most on this list. My cousin read couple of pages and she liked it so I can’t wait till I can get my head stuck in it (that sounds weird, but you know what I mean.. right?)
The Little Shop of Happy Ever After – Jenny Colgan
I picked this book up while I was in Waterstones and it sounded so cute. I think on the back the author had written ‘for the people who love to read’ and I was like yess (sticks hand up), thats me!
Reclaim Your Heart – Yasmin Mogahed
Lastly, I ordered this book from Amazon. I had actually bought it as a gift for someone else but kept it (Shh, everyone does that right?). Any I heard a lot of good things from this book and I’ve seen so many cool quotes so I thought I had to have it. I’m looking forward to reading this!
That is it for my book haul. Let me know if you have read any of these or if you would like some more book reviews.
